Scroll through these photos of our most recent work. We work with licensed contractors to create beautiful spaces for our clients. Every selection is made with our clients, and their needs in mind. Make design work for you, never the other way around.
Condo Kitchen Renovation
We had the honor and privilege to design the remodel of this gorgeous modern kitchen in a popular Dallas condominium building. The clients wanted to update the space and make it fit flawlessly in their open floor plan. Their personal taste leant towards the midcentury style. We chose to keep the style clean with contrasting blacks and whites but to warm the space up with little hints of taupe in the tiles we selected. We used white Cafe appliances by GE and a custom vent hood by Hoodsly. The hardware was by Rejuvenation in keeping with our paired down aesthetic. The white cabinets have finger grooves on the bottom to add to the contrast and tie in the hood. With the help of the clients, we were able to utilize every inch of available space. We are always grateful for the trust others place in us and we hope they enjoy this property for years and years to come. These lovely photos are courtesy of Kim Typaldos of KT Photo and Film.
Large Scale Condo Renovation
This condo renovation offered up plenty of challenges due to its commercial architecture. We navigated concrete ceilings, raised drop ceilings, built around concrete beams and sourced plumbing specific to the construction of the building. The homeowner saw the potential in the condo when he bought it, but it had been redone poorly many times before and had no design identity. We were able to correct that and make this condo feel like a warm, inviting, and spacious home. We worked with HART General Contractors, whose experience and dedication was second to none. Together we worked to bring the design to life for our client. We could not be more pleased.
Modern Home Addition
This project was a long one. The home was already stunning but the family who bought it was expanding and needed additional space. We worked with the home owners and skilled contractors to add to the home's footprint but have it blend seamlessly. We did tile design, lighting throughout, and we worked closely with Ornare to design the cabinetry. The plumbing in the home is top of the line Kohler, even including a touch panel shower actuator with steam function. The property changed hands and we worked with the investor closely to use previously selected materials, in conjunction with new materials, to complete this project. While we did not furnish the interior space, we are very proud of the final result. Photos taken by the fabulous 18% productions.
New Home Build Design Incorporating Existing Pieces
This super fun design project was completed, floor by floor, using new furnishings that were chosen to compliment existing pieces. These clients are avid art collectors and they have a taste for unique items. We focused on a modern style, but also comfortable and practical. The floor plan they chose was mid mod inspired so that helped to inspire some of our choices. We loved working with this super sweet couple and we love how their home turned out. Bright and Colorful Open Floor Plan Design
This home was an full renovation. The house was originally built in 1984 and it had never been updated. The home has a lovely open floorplan which can also be quite challenging. We set out to create a color palette that would work with the existing art collection and materials that blended the modern furnishings with the traditional windows and trim. The result is a light filled space that showcases the personality and the heirlooms of the homeowner. I say this with confidence because this home also serves as the Artful Home Interiors headquarters. This property was designed, in entirety, by Joe and I. Photos taken by the fabulous Jerry and Stephanie Turnbow. We are so fortunate to partner with them.
Full Home Design
For this project we chose to use as much of the clients existing furnishings as possible. Since the overall layout of the living space was changed we did have to purchase some things to fit the scale and new functionality better. The clients already had the beautiful turquoise chairs so we let those chairs inspire the rest of the design. We started with a neutral base with the gorgeous Aesthetic White paint color by Sherwin Williams and infused color and warm wood tones throughout. The lighting plan is new, the gorgeous tiled floors are new, the kitchen is brand new, and even the fireplace, mantle, and stair railings were updated. The client requested a sweet little mud room built in to help manage bags and shoes. We are very pleased with the end result and we hope this sweet family is happy in their space for years to come. Home Design: Featuring Kitchen, Dining, and Bathroom
We love when a buyer sees the potential in an older home. Texas is known for it's sprawling ranch style homes and with our soil movement, sometimes an established home is the best bet. This home looked dark and dated when my client purchased it. She saw the potential and I am thrilled to say we were able to give her the cozy, Tuscan vibes, she was craving. The textures are soft and warm, but the details are what really elevate this space. The inset on the cabinetry and all of the trim work were so impressive to see installed. These beautiful cabinets are hiding every ounce of storage anyone would ever need, including a hydraulic mixer lift. As always, we gave the dirty work to the chosen contractor and he did an amazing job. Contact us if you need a referral.
Main Bathroom Retreat
We are so excited to present to you our most recent project. We worked with licensed contractors to fully renovate a dated bathroom with poorly designed spatial planning. The result is a serene, bohemian, sanctuary full of life and light. This is our preferred design style, but we work well with any design style.
Main Bedroom with Sitting Area
This owner's suite was dated and not operating at it's maximum potential. The redesign included a fireplace reconfiguration (switched to double sided) and refacing in plaster. We removed a ceiling fan and chose to make the lighting a real focal point with a plaster medallion and a vintage looking brass fixture. The dilemma in this design was how to tie in the paneling from the sitting area into the entire space and to unify it. We chose to add character to the sleeping quarters by painting the ceiling the same as the walls, adding the medallion for architectural interest, and unifying both spaces through the curtains and the unified color palette. We matched a coveted farrow and ball shade and used that color in the sitting room to modernize the paneling and add drama. The dreamy violets and strong furniture items really work to carry that drama throughout the space.
Home Office Design
A client approached us with a desire to transform a foyer space into a home office. She had lots of files and printers and even multiple monitors. We worked with a cabinet maker to customize a built-in that would accommodate her needs. The finished product is further below and we are very proud of the results.
Take a look at the completed project. The resulting office is functional for her and also a glamorous focal point due to its proximity to the entry of the home. We are always looking toward resale value so we were sure to add electrical outlets and a space for a monitor so that a desk is nice, but never necessary. She now has storage, comfort, and luxury at her fingertips. We are so thankful for the opportunity to brighten up her space.
Teen Bedroom Design
Below is an example of a teen room that we renovated to meet the clients growing needs. The client is a young artist and an avid reader. There were storage issues and a large bed that dominated much of the usable space in the bedroom.
Wet Bar Design
The project featured below is for a client who wanted to update her wet bar into a more functional space. We worked with the client, our contractor, and licensed electricians to add in a drawer fridge and an apron sink. We did away with the awkward octagon shape and replaced it with a double height waterfall countertop. We are excited to show you the finished product. Below you will see the updated, custom cabinetry that is painted in the dreamy color, Shaded White, by Farrow and Ball, and the counters which are Calcutta Quartz. The wallpaper and floating shelves were installed by Artful Home Interiors.
Laundry Room Reconfiguration
Laundry Rooms, big or small, are power players in every home. We included this one because of the transformation factor. We never include before photos but we want to express the benefit of stacking the washer and dryer. They were formerly side by side in a time when side by side washer dryer combos were much smaller and more shallow. Moving a modern appliance into this space highlighted the poor layout. There was hardly room to shimmy through the door and walk into the main hall. We got to work removing upper cabinets, repairing drywall, installing lighting, and adding a folding bar with ample storage. On the other side we still have a sink, but it is sized appropriately for the space. all in all this space now functions seamlessly and has everything the homeowners need.
3D Modeling for Interior Space Design
This is how we turn our clients dreams into a reality. After careful conversations with our clients to determine their needs, Joe, creates these digital drawings using my specifications. We send the clients a draft (usually not overly developed to save them money), the client looks the draft over, makes suggestions, and we send them a revision. Once the revision is decided on, we add the necessary measurements as a guideline for the contractor.
